I’m thrilled to share that I recently had the opportunity to speak with a remarkable group of individuals at the Kids Foundation event, part of the Phoenix Camp 2024. This camp is dedicated to supporting burn and trauma survivors and families affected by Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), and it was a true honour to contribute to their journey of healing and empowerment.
During my talk, I focused on how we can enhance our overall wellbeing through simple yet impactful lifestyle changes. We explored how a healthy diet, good sleep patterns, regular exercise, stress management, and work-life balance are crucial to boosting our “hormones of happiness” while reducing cortisol, the “hormone of stress.”
The audience, a dedicated group of adults involved with Phoenix Camp 2024, brought incredible energy and commitment to the session. Their deep involvement in supporting burn and trauma survivors and SMA families is truly admirable. The discussions we had were insightful and heartfelt, reflecting a shared mission to uplift and empower those in need.
A special thank you to the Kids Foundation for inviting me to be part of such a meaningful event. Your dedication to making a positive impact is truly inspiring. To all the attendees and volunteers, thank you for your engagement and for the work you do every day. Together, we’re fostering a community of resilience and compassion.
Here’s to continuing the journey of support and healing, and to the ongoing strength and courage of those we serve.
